Sketched by my sister Talisa Hayes, the eagle shown here, drawn in Formline design characteristic of Pacific Northwest indigenous cultures, spreads its wings, revealing wolf and shark designs drawn in its body. The three animals - eagle, wolf, and shark - represent my family's Tlingit lineage, of the Wooshkeetaan Áak'w Kwáan, Tóos Hít.
